Will You Help?

Will you help educate the voters who will win this for President Obama?

Mitt is Mean PAC is the only political organization that has been endorsed by Dogs Against Romney that is legally able to spend money to do voter outreach.

Our mission is to educate the 8 million pet owning undecided swing state swing voters by means of effective advertising and voter contact.

The PR around the Seamus issue has been great, but still hasn’t broken through to non-political junkies.

Most people still haven’t heard about this and won’t unless we run a very targeted campaign to educate them.

We can’t do this with out money, and we have no billionaire backers. We only have you.

Please chip in $3 0r $5 if you can to help get the message out to pet owning swing voters

Formed to bring attention to the presumptive Republican presidential candidate’s history of cruelty and nefarious behavior, the Mitt Is Mean Super PAC was launched this spring and has been embraced by pet lovers around the country who find the infamous story of Romney’s treatment of his dog, Seamus, intolerable and unforgettable.

In 1983, the Romney family took a 12-hour drive from their home in Massachusetts to a vacation spot in Canada with their late Irish setter contained in a crate strapped to the roof of the family car. As the story goes, Seamus experienced a bout with diarrhea during the voyage and was subsequently hosed down by Romney at a gas station.

Of the many groups supporting the Mitt Is Mean Super PAC is the online group Dogs Against Romney, whose founder, Scott Crider, offered a ringing endorsement. “Dogs against Romney is a pack, not a PAC” Crider says. “Our members are eager to do more and need a PAC they can support. I decided to get behind Mitt is Mean because the group has been working around the clock to focus attention on Romney’s cruel indifference to people and pets. If he treated his family dog that way how do you think he’ll treat people he doesn’t know.”

Mitt Is Mean will continue to bring attention to the cruelty of Romney, and the GOP Mean Machine’s Corporations Are People agenda throughout the 2012 election cycle by mobilizing the 8 million pet owning swing voters in 10 battleground states. Stay tuned by visiting http://www.mittismean.org.

“The Republican contender was the governor of Massachusetts from January 2003 to January 2007. And during that time, according to the U.S. Labor Department, the state ranked 47th in the entire country in jobs growth. Fourth from last.

The only ones that did worse? Ohio, Michigan and Louisiana. In other words, two rustbelt states and another that lost its biggest city to a hurricane.

The Massachusetts jobs growth over that period, a pitiful 0.9%, badly lagged other high-skill, high-wage, knowledge economy states like New York (2.7%), California (4.7%) and North Carolina (7.6%).

The national average: More than 5%.

This was after four years. So far Obama has been in office for just one year. How was Romney’s performance by his first anniversary?

Fiftieth out of fifty.”

Mitt Takes Lit Hit

That infamous and seemingly immortal tale of Mitt Romney crating his dog on the roof of his car during a 14-hour road trip has already weaseled its way into the narrative of the 2012 campaign and is now splashing its way onto America’s bookshelves.

The Romney family’s now-deceased Irish setter Seamus’ story is being cemented in history in a 64-page satirical book, “Dog on the Roof,” set to be released June 19.

“Politics is hard for most people, including me, to keep their head around,” [Scott] Crider [founder of Dogs Against Romney] said. “Big discussions about universal health care and the debt issues and all these things are really big and complex for busy people to really be able to wrap their heads around.”

“This thing about Seamus cuts right through all that,” he said.

And while the story has already incited pet lovers, pestered the presidential candidate and punctuated attack ads, a national book tour devoted solely to propagating the decades-old event will likely reinvigorate the Seamus saga, which Romney has tried to put to sleep.

“Now for the first time, here is the completely true—and only mildly embellished— shaggy-dog story of Seamus Romney,” reads the books description. “It is the inside (well . . . overhead) look at the Man Who Would Be President and the wild ride that’s sweeping—and bewildering—the nation.”

The book’s intention is to be humorous, and it certainly sounds that way, but many take the story seriously, namely Sean [sic] Crider, the founder of Dogs Against Romney. Crider told ABC News that the “Dog on the Roof” story shows Romney’s “overall appearance of meanness.”

“It’s a character illuminating anecdote about Romney for a lot of people,” Crider told ABC News. “A lot of people are just pure dog lovers and see what he did as being abusive; others see it as a little window about what kind of guy he is.”

Dog on the Roof, for those interested, will be available on bookshelves next month.

Shouldn’t a grown man know better!?

“This is what my 3 year-old twins set up this morning.  I asked why the dog was on top, and Brooke said that he didn’t fit in the van.
I asked if the dog liked riding on top, and she said yes.  She also said that the cat and bunny liked riding atop the van (together).
Again, she is 3, so doesn’t know any better.”              – Lisa Tomlinson, Mitt is Mean supporter

Daily Treat….Go Bo!

The Obama campaign is putting the Nations First Dog, Bo Obama, on the campaign trail.

Over the past few weeks, the rhetoric exchanged between presidential hopeful Mitt Romney and President hoping to continue Barack Obama has heated up, an indication that were inching closer to the 2012 general election set for this November. With his presidential fate in the balance, Obama has enlisted the political assistance of an unlikely aid: his dog.Thats right: Bo Obama is hitting the campaign trail to help promote his fathers re-election cause. According to a story from the Washington Post, Bo Obama appears in a new political ad on Obamas campaign site urging pet owners to vote for him with copy reading, “Join Pet Lovers for Obama”.The suggestion of course is that if you love your pet, youll vote for President Obama in November. The ad looks to directly capitalize on the seemingly low regard in which some animal lovers hold his rival Mitt Romney, who found himself in hot water with animal activists after outrage over what weve dubbed the “Romney dog on roof” incident. The incident specifically pertains to a 20-year-old story regarding the Romney family dog, Seamus, who rode on the roof of the familys car for the duration of a 12-hour trip to Canada.

Mitt Romney Heckled Over Dog-On-Roof Story – The Huffington Post

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney can’t even grab some pizzas without being reminded of how he treated his dog nearly 30 years ago.

As Romney exited Joe’s Pizza carrying a stack of pizza boxes in New York City on Tuesday, somebody on the sidewalk shouted, “Just don’t put ’em on the roof of the car,” according to a tweet from Reuters reporter Sam Youngman.

In 1983, the Romneys embarked on a 12-hour drive from Massachusetts to Canada. Since there wasn’t enough room in the car for the family dog, Seamus, Romney put the Irish Setter in a crate fastened to the roof of the car. Though Romney has said Seamus loved roof rides, during this particular trip the dog suffered a bout of diarrhea that forced Romney to pull over and hose off the car.

Dog lovers have protested Romney over “Crate-Gate” ever since the Boston Globe first reported it in 2007. Romney said last month that he wouldn’t do it again because of all the attention it received.

Campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul tweeted a photo of Romney carrying the pizzas.
